A loser's (err... single's) guide on Valentine's day
 Its Valentine's day... And just like me I know most of you here don't have a special someone to spend this special day with. But fear not... there are still things you can do to make this day productive and fun. 1. Help out a friend. You may have friends that are planning something big for this event. Help them in the execution of their plans. Not only it would make your friends job easier. It could also help you extract those creative juices of yours. 2. Go Out. Your not the only one who is spending the valentine's day alone. Try going somewhere where you could expect single people (like you) to hang out. You might end up meeting the man/woman of your dreams. 3. Date Someone Special. Yup! You've heard me right. Go out on a date. It doesn't necessarily mean that when you go out on a date it should be with a Girlfriend/Boyfriend/Husband/Wife. You could go out on a date with your Grandma, Mom, Sister, Brother, Dad, Grandpa or even a friend. This is a good time to tell them how much you care for them. 4. Treat Yourself. Since it's Valentine's day many establishments and businesses are having promotions and special deals with their products and services. (e.g. Spa, Parlor, Hotels and many more) 5. Stay at home. I know that this is the exact opposite of what I've just said in the last 4 pointers but it this day could also be a good day to reflect on things you have done, catch up, on things you need to do, or just simply relax. Remember: VALENTINE'S DAY IS A CELEBRATION OF LOVE NOT ONLY FOR ANOTHER PERSON, BUT ALSO FOR YOURSELF. (",)

Tuesday, February 10, 2009 Para maiba naman magpopost naman ako sa wikang tagalog... Noong linggo pinuntahan ko ang kaibigan kong si Chris sa kaniyang trabaho. Hinintay ko syang lumabas ng trabaho at nagplano kaming manood ng sine. Pagkadating namin sa sinehan ay hindi namin alam kung anong pelikula ang aming papanoorin. Nagsuggest ang kaibigan ko na panoorin na lang daw namin ang pelikulang nagngangalang "Push" na pinagbibidahan ng artistang gumanap na "Human Torch" sa pelikalang "Fantastic 4" na hindi ko alam ang pangalan. Noong una ang akala ko ay hindi ko magugustuhan ang pelikulang ito base narin sa mababang "ratings" na ibinigay dito ng mga kritiko. Ngunit ng matapos naming panoorin ang pelikula, Isa lang ang masasabi namin ng kaibigan ko, "Ang pelikulang ito ay asteeg". Ang istorya nito ay umiikot sa mga taong me espesyal na kakayahan na nais gamitin ng gobyerno para sa sarili nilang mga kapakanan. Alam ko na karamihan sa inyo ay iisipin at sasabihin na hindi na bago ang istoryang ganito. Pero kung paniniwalaan nyo ako, masasabi kong ibang iba ito sa mga nakita at mga napanood nyo na. Ang mga taong me espesyal na kakayanan sa pelikulang ito ay nahahati sa 9 klase: Movers: kayang magpagalaw ng mga bagay gamit ang isip (mala Jean Gray) Watchers: kayang makita ang mga maaring maganap sa hinaharap (mala Madam Auring??) Sniffs: kayang malaman ang nakaraan at ang iyong kinaroroonan gamit ng pang-amoy (mala Kiba from Naruto) Shadows: kayang itago ang isang bagay o isang tao laban sa mga iba pang me kakayanan (wala na akong maisip na ibang taong me ganitong kakayanan) Shifters: kayang ibahin ang anyo ng isang bagay pansamantala (mala Kurotopi ng Hunter x Hunter) Stiches: kayang gumamot ng ibang tao sa pamamagitan ng paghawak sa biktima kaya ring baliktarin ang panggamot na ibinigay. Sunday, February 8, 2009 Here it goes: 1. Yesterday I went to church then went home 2. Slept at probably around 11 o'clock in the evening while watching a movie 3. I woke up 4. Picked my Iphone 5. Checked my Iphone to see what time is it 6. It was 5 o'clock in the morning 7. Set my alarm to wake me up at 7 o'clock 8. Went back to bed to sleep again (actually it's not a bed, it's a couch since my grandma is sleeping in my room for the past few months) 9. I woke up and checked my Iphone to see what I time is it and its already 7:51 10. I've rushed to the bathroom and took a shower 11. Went out hurriedly to dress up and fix my hair and my stuff 12. I was about to go out when my dad saw me and asked me "Where are you going?" 13. I told him I'm about to go to work then he laughed 14. I've asked him why then he answered "Work?! You don't have work to go to work today son. Today is just SUNDAY. 15. Then I've realized and told to myself "Oh shoot my dad is right today is just Sunday and its my day off. I went to all that trouble for nothing. I've prepared myself as quickly as I could thinking that I am already late for work. I was laughing so hard and irritated at the same time after realizing that today is just Sunday. Laughing for my stupidness. and irritated since I can no longer go back to sleep after that.

pre-valentine's day post
This is a song entitled Cast Away by Franco Reyes (tnx to The Angelus band who have introduced me to him and his music. visit them at myspace.com/angelussf) Anyway this song perfectly describes my feelings and emotions right now. In a sense, I feel that I am all alone and cast away. But unlike most of the people in the world, I am not grieving. If you would recall from my previous post entitled: When all else fail... use a fork, I have stated that I find love problems a waste of my time. Well I still do, but not that much anymore. Though I am hurting, I am trying my best to pull myself back together. And so far I think I am doing good. Ironically, my best friend is having some problems in his relationships too. Its kinda amusing how he turns to me for advice, when I, myself didn't even have the power to save my previous relationship. I guess it is really easier to advice and come up with a solution to other people's problem, than to fix and come up with an answer to your own.

Sunday, February 1, 2009 After almost a year of Hiatus me and and my old choir decided to sing again. Though there are just a few of us left, I could still say that we still have it. A little more practice and we would be singing like angels again (hahaha I'd like to think so). Anyway, since most of us are gone, and since we are now singing in a new church, St Anne of the Sunset Church to be exact. We have decided to change our name from SPYCO (St. Patrick's Young-Adult Choir Organization) to Koro de Sta. Anna, hence the title of this blog. God has been really good to all of us and I really think that it is right to give back to him through the utilization of our talents. Here are our pics after the mass:     |
